Fox Pop-up Ornament

The pictured item is a one of a kind artwork and also a fun toy! I put my own handmade whimsical spin on a classic children’s toy, but this one is for grown-up kids to enjoy. While sturdily made, it may not stand up to repeated rough handling. The photo shows three examples of the item but the listing is for only one. The pop-up “puppets” are individually handmade by me so there will be small differences in each one and you may not receive one of the examples in the photo. The cardboard cone is painted, covered in a light purple handmade Japanese Mulberry paper with dark blue paper circles and light blue stars added for decoration. It is then sealed with a satin finish acrylic artist medium. Each figure’s head is molded from Creative Paperclay, then painted. The bodies are printed cotton and have a piece of gold thread attached for hanging. Blue rick-rack trim is glued on the edge of the cone. The handle used to make the figure pop in and out of the cone is a stained and sealed wood dowel. The length is 6 inches and the widest point measures 1.5 inches. This would be the perfect gift for that person who would enjoy a unique and fun piece of art that you can also interact with. We all need a little play in our lives.
