Fiber To A Scarf Kit -4oz of Wool or Alpaca, Drop Spindle kit and Round Loom Kit

This kit contains enough fiber(4oz or 8os) to make a Scarf, a drop spindle to spin the yarn, and a loom to knit the scarf. You need to decide if you want the scarf to be a tub or flat, how wide and long you want it, the size you plan to spin the yarn and if you want to use Alpaca or Wool. Both fibers have advantages. Both are soft with Alpaca fiber being much softer than Texel Wool. On the other hand Texel Wool is much easier to spin and has great warm with wet qualities. The wool is white and the Alpaca is fawn. If you are planning a small scarf(short and/or narrow), then you need the four ounce kit. A larger thicker scarf requires 8 oz. A 4 oz bag of fiber should produce a 4 oz skein of yarn, and 8 oz bag will produce an 8 oz skein. Both the Loom and Drop Spindle Kit come with very good instructions. We also encourage you to go to You Tube and look at some of the instructional videos. The wool and alpaca are skirted, pre-washed followed by opening, tumbling, hand picking of vegetable matter, two washes, two rinses and carding into roving. No harsh chemicals are used in the cleaning of the fleece. This fiber is NOT superwashed. A Stonehedge picker and carder process the washed fleece. This GORGEOUS roving is from animals in Maryland and processed in Maryland.
