This woodpecker is endangered and lives in our southern pine forests. It's the only woodpecker that excavates it home in live pine trees. It also pokes holes around the nest opening to allow sap to run out and make a gooey mess around the opening. That mess repels prospective predators. This is an archival giclee print from an original gouache and pencil painting. The Epson inks are guaranteed lightfast to 100 years in normal household conditions.
