Color and I have been on a long journey together, beginning when I was a child and filling my coloring books with bright rainbow hues. The seemingly infinite choices on my palette continue to feed my mind, body, and soul. My work is about Going Beyond which means going past where I am, where I am comfortable and in the knowing. Going Beyond has no boundaries or restrictions and the possibilities are endless. It is the realm of intuition, imagination, and pure creation. Color is the tool I use to breakdown these boundaries, to move beyond my comfort zone.
This journey has led me from painting realistically, to subject based abstractions, and now into the realm of within, painting intuitively and being amazed by the conversation between the painting and myself.
I began my art career winning poster contests and painting on Atlantic City boardwalk storefronts. I continued my education with a BA from Chestnut Hill College and teacher certification from Kutztown University. I am a signature member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and have exhibited widely and received many awards. My work has been featured in several publications, 100 Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic, AcrylicWorks2:Radical Breakthroughs and AcrylicWorks3: Creating Texture and Art Journey Animals: A collection of Inspiring Contemporary Masterworks.
I had the honor of being chosen the poster artist for ArtFest Fort Myers in 2014 and 2017.
