36x48 Watercolor Walnut Frame --- A tribute to my favorite houseplant, the Monstera Deliciosa, this painting is a fresh take on the genre of botanical watercolors. Amongst the shapes of vibrant green and blue tropical leaves, there are fine abstract details made with the intention that they look like whimsical painterly strokes. The result is a celebration of nature's shape and color, and a nod to her imperfect beauty. Custom framed in a thin, warm brown walnut hardwood. The painting is on textured watercolor paper, which is adhered to a wood panel with acid-free glue. The paper edges have torn and raw deckled edges. I use a matte spray varnish for protection against light and dust. This painting comes shipped in a custom crate lined with foam board. The artwork’s corners are protected with cardboard and wrapped in cling wrap, then bubble wrap before being slid into the crate for a snug fit.
