Drop Spindle & White Washed Wool Roving 4 oz Kit

Kits consisting of a 10 inch Drop Spindle, 4 ounces of White Ready-to-Use Wool Roving, starter yarn and instructions. All you need to start spinning yarn. There is enough fiber here to make a fairly large item - not just learn. The roving is professionally washed and carded by Alford Family Farms and Spinnery, with great care taken to ensure a wonderful end product. The fiber is pre-washed followed by hand picking of vegetable matter, opening, two washes and two rinses. The washing process allows for a gentle moving of water through the fiber to avoid agitation. Temperature controls prevent shock to the fiber as it soaks. No harsh chemicals are used in the cleaning of the fiber. A Stonehedge picker and carder processed the washed fiber. This GORGEOUS roving is from a Texel sheep at Jehovah-Jireh Farm in Dickerson, MD. The roving is perfect for spinning and knitting into warm garments! The carded fiber is super easy to spin on a spinning wheel or drop spindle.
