Kit consisting of a 10 inch Drop Spindle, starter string, 4 ounces of Cream Ready-to-Use Alpaca Roving from Glory and instructions. All you need to start spinning yarn and complete a useful item. The roving is professionally washed and carded by Alford Family Farms and Spinnery, with care taken to ensure a wonderful end product. The fiber is pre-washed followed by hand picking of vegetable matter, opening, two washes and two rinses. The washing process allows for a gentle moving of water through the fiber to avoid agitation. Temperature controls prevent shock to the fiber as it soaks. No harsh chemicals are used in the cleaning of the fiber. A Stonehedge picker and carder process the washed fiber. This GORGEOUS roving is from a alpaca at Alford Family Farms and Spinnery named Glory. They are perfect for spinning and knitting into warm garments!
