Acrylic Paint
18"x24"
I chose the title ‘Dog Days’ because the dog days are the hottest days of the summer, and combined with the subject it felt fitting. I painted this during the beginning of the pandemic; I wanted to create a reminder of happiness and better times. Despite the worry and stress, you should continue to look forward to a brighter future.
This painting was the the largest painting I’ve done yet. The canvas size was intimidating at first, especially because I am inexperienced with acrylic. In the end, I learned a lot from creating this. Now I feel more comfortable with acrylic, and continuous practice will improve that further.
