Inspired by Rey's love of Art Deco architecture in his homeland of Cuba. This work features the elegant stepped forms, sweeping curves and layered shapes of Art Deco, old American cars and the colors of Cuban tropical splendor. Drawing heavily on the colors and styles of some of the early modern art movements, from Impressionism through Cubism, this variation on the Deco sunburst motif brings us the energy of tropical flora in bloom.
