This is our Deluxe Crossbow Package. THE KIT: Our Deluxe Crossbow Package comes with: * Your choice of Black Walnut or Cherry Crossbow * 6 Additional Padded Bolts- a total of 7 since it comes with one * Crossbow Backsling * Leather Court frog to hold your bolts * Small sword salve -this keeps the bow in good working order and prevents fuzz on your strings THE CROSSBOW: Inspired by crossbows used in the 13 to 16th century, our crossbows are fully functioning, and constructed with our unique, revolutionary peg and washer system. Each contour of our crossbows is individually shaped and sanded by one of our shop artisans to create it’s beautiful sleek lines. They also feature an authentic lever-trigger, hand-wrought bowstring, and traditional lashing. The stocks are available in cherry or walnut. The bow blades, stock plates, pegs and mechanisms are of constructed of hickory. Hand punched leather washers hold the pegs and stock plates securely in place while allowing easy maintenance and upgrades. Used by many historical recreation and LARP organizations and, our crossbows are suitably durable for a day on the battlefield. BOW SPECS: * Overall Length: Approx. 32 inches in * Blade Length: Approx 28 inches in * Poundage: Rated at about 20 to 40 pounds pull * For a specific poundage send us a message we can work with you to get this where you need it THE CARE : Each crossbow and its blades are treated with a special non-toxic, sword salve that is handcrafted in our shop. This protects the wood from weather, keeps the blades pliable, and prolongs the life of your crossbow. Upon receiving your bow, it is a good idea to use a soft cloth to buff the wax into the wood. It is very important to continue to keep your Hollow Earth weapons well waxed in order for them to retain resiliency in battle. THE GUARANTEE: * Stocks and Mechanisms are guaranteed for life. * Bow-blades for 30 days * Lashing and Strings are consumable and will, over time (depending on usage) need replacing. * All of the parts can be repaired or replaced THE BACKSLING: Crossbow Backslings are a great alternative for carrying your Crossbow hands free. Not only will your crossbow make a presence from the front, but you can also show it off from the back. We developed this design to easily adjust to a variety of sizes. The strap is worn in front at a diagonal from shoulder to waist and holds crossbow at an angle across the back. It can also be worn slung over your shoulder. It is super comfortable to wear. See pictures for details. Backslings are handcrafted in our leather shop from 7/8 oz. vegetable tanned leather. All lines are edge coated to a sleek finish. BACKSLING SPECS: * Adjustable from 30 inches all the way to 42 inches at its largest setting * Buckle straps 1/2 inch * Main body straps 3/4 inch THE COURT FROG: Historically worn in court, to hold swords straight up and down. This was to insure you will not poke the fair maidens dresses. Our court frogs double as a wonderful holder for your crossbow bolts! They will hold six bolts comfortably. They are handcrafted in our leather shop from 7/8 oz. vegetable tanned leather. All lines are edge coated to a sleek finish. We founded our company in 1984, and as my children have grown up, so has the business. Now we proudly involve three generations of our family in making our fine wooden weapons.
