Description
Porcelain cover with polymer clay. With each container I find its natural divider line. This area is warped with a cotton string and create different areas on the surface. Each area has been covered in different polymer clay canework techniques. A combination or millefiori, Keliedoscope, translucent with white spiral cane, and a layer of translucent polymer clay mixed with embossing powder. No paints or dyes were used. The polymer clay was then cured in the oven to insure optimum strength and color, sanded smooth, and finished with several coats of a color enhancing protective polish.
Can handle water for flower arraignment, potpourri, or dry food items. Handle with care, wipe with damp cloth, do not put in a microwave or dish washer. Not for food consumption or serving tea.

My second act as an artist is proof of life beyond high-tech. My first career was in electrical engineering. I spent a significant amount of time learning and following specific rules to design electronic systems. High tech criteria for success involves strict adherence to the specifications. With art, this is not the case and I relish the freedom of no right or wrong way to create. My paintings are a reflection of my passage in life. I like to ask: what is behind all that? I create art that reveals and hides, exposes and conceals. I like the viewer to wonder and imagine.
