Cylindropuntia prolifera 'Coastal cholla'

Cylindropuntia prolifera is a tall, upright cactus that can reach up to 3 meters in height. Its slender, cylindrical segments are covered in plump tubercles and have numerous 2-centimeter long brown or reddish spines. The flowers are a vibrant reddish purple and bloom from the fruits of the previous year. These fruits, which grow in groups of up to 5, are green in color.
