How does it work?
We start with a consultation (you can reach out to us for a quote via Etsy, Facebook, or scallywag.letterpress [!at] gmail.com ) to determine what kind of design, size, colors etc. you have in mind as well as a budget that works for you (the price listed above is the minimum order charge). Next we set a timeline for producing your design.
How long does it take?
Design time varies from customer to customer depending on how detailed of a design and your own availability to consult with us on each draft. Once the design is finalized, however, the rest of the process moves rather quickly. Plate processing takes 3-4 business days. The actual printing process takes 1-2 days per run through the press to allow for drying. Then it is off to the mail they go! We use standard shipping by default but you can contact us if you would like to pay extra for faster shipping.
How will your custom quote be determined?
A $45 design fee is charged for the first two hours, $30 per hour after that. Pricing for printing is based on paper size and number of runs required to go through the press (i.e. number of colors and pages).

What do a couple of artists in love do when they live 5 hours from one another? ...start a business of course! For years, Sam has been intrigued with old school letterpress techniques. And Katy is, well, impressed with receiving love letters in the mail!
Albeit very different styles, the two’s artistic backgrounds come together to create quirky and endearing designs. A traditional artist by trade, Katy enjoys sketching up ideas with no regard for how Adobe Illustrator works... and Sam is just THRILLED to edit the images into something actually printable.
