Sparkling rose-cut black spinel surrounded by hand-stamped bronze, set atop a sterling silver textured band. (Spinel is a hard, durable gemstone, ranking as an 8 on the Mohs scale; its toughness makes it a great choice for everyday wear.) The bronze symbolizes a compass rose, a hint that this ring is intended as a talisman so that you may always find your way.
This ring is designed to be worn with my silver stacking rings. It's gorgeous on its own but looks beautiful with one or more bands next to it.

About the artist: Seattle jeweler Peggy Foy received a formal training in metalsmithing from the University of Georgia, graduating with a BFA in Jewelry/Metalwork. Drawn by the vibrant arts community (and the natural beauty and ethical sensibilities of the region), Peggy relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2005, where she quickly became active in the Seattle jewelry community.
