Composition of glass and metal including cast pewter leaves and cicadas set in a field of acid etched glass nuggets. The cicadas were patterned after an off course member of a hatch we had in New Haven in the early nineties, it spent two days with me before returning to the swarm. The border is sculpted solder over steel which provides both visual heft and great strength. Can be hung vertically or horizontally.

I began this work in 1972 and have exhibited at art shows around the country since. At that time I was very interested in transmitted light and the way it would affect an environment, it was the reason I chose glass as my medium. I am now more involved in the surface of things, compositions employing textures, the sculpting of new dimensional elements, and the mixing of different materials to produce stand alone pieces of artwork.
