Christmas

This is a one-of-a-kind journal made from a rescued copy of 1946 Volume 16 of "An American Annual of Christmas Literature and Art". I have adorned the cover with a part of a discarded hair ornament. The black satin ribbon, in addition to adorning the cover, serves to anchor the long-stitch and kettle-stitch binding, visible on the spine. The pages of the journal are made from white cardstock-weight paper. Due to the large format of the book cover, half the pages are full width and half are quarter width. The smaller width pages may be used for lists, such as menus or gifts. The larger width pages may be used to hold photos, drawings, or writing, perhaps by guests/family members. I include out-of-context quotes from the original book on some of the pages to be used as writing prompts.
