Celebrate in Champagne and Caviar . . . so delicious, and so classic!
The "Champagne and Caviar" necklace is a combination of glowing cultured freshwater pearls with 14 center stones in sparkly and yummy black diamonds. The beads are braided on 8 strands to create an elegant heirloom-quality necklace for wedding, or any special occasion. The eight strands are designed with 2 - 4mm mesmerizing round, button and seed pearls using the Japanese Kumihimo technique. All are braided on eight strands of fine brass wire, and finished with 12-Karat gold-filled cone end caps, 14-Karat gold-filled toggle clasp, and my designer tag. You will look graceful and classic in this exquisite necklace.
The necklace measures 18"
I have photographed this necklace on "Blanca", my life sized avatar/model/mannequin to show size and proportion.
Kumihimo is the art of traditional Japanese braiding, and has been around for about 1,500 years. I am enjoying the design possibilities using this very intriguing and Zen-like technique of braiding.

About my Technique on Glass and Stone -
As an artist and gilder, I employ Verre Eglomisé technique, which is the art of painting and gilding precious metal leaf on the reverse side of the glass. Designs are engraved into the gold or silver leaf and then combined with glass and enamel paints on the back side of my glass bowls, table tops, and décor pieces. I also am gilding stone with gold leaf for my unique and elegant jewelry designs, and have custom commissions for special occasions such as concerts, weddings, anniversaries, and holiday gifts.
