The Celtic Hair Comb measures 5 5/8" long by 1 3/4" wide. The prongs on the comb are 4 1/2" long. Can I wear this with my thick/thin/coarse/fine/curly/straight hair? This comb will work well for most hair types, although if you have fine, straight hair, you may want to put a hair band on before twisting your hair into a bun. They you can simply make sure that the hairband is behind the prongs of the comb, to hold it in place. How should I care for my Celtic comb? These combs are made from a very high-quality pewter, called Britania metal, which has a high polish, low tarnish finish. For day-to-day care, you can use a soft cloth, such as a silver polishing cloth, to clean your comb. If more cleaning power is needed, try warm water and a mild soap.
