My art is labeled as digital simply because a computer is the medium I use to generate the artwork. Everything I create is hand-drawn or painted. I work the same as I did with pen & ink, only a pressure sensitive stylus is my pen, a Wacom tablet is my paper, software generates the ink & paint, and an iMac is my easel. THE COMPUTER DOES NOT CREATE THE ART. However, I sometimes take advantage of its ability to duplicate and arrange large elements I have already drawn.
The original artwork for the prints resides on the Mac as a digital file, just as a photograph resides on the camera of a digital photographer. From there it's all about output. The artwork is output as giclée prints on premium, resin coated luster paper. There are no inferior prints, regardless of size. I print every image myself and every print is a first generation output.
