Handmade, one-of-a-kind contemporary cuff from “Galaxy", my newest collection! In this collection oxidized sterling silver and 24k gold come together in beautiful designs reminiscent of a starry night. Using the ancient Korean technique of keum-bo, I have fused 24k gold to the surface of sterling silver and then oxidized it for contrast. The contrast of the rich 24k gold color against the softly oxidized and textured sterling silver is lovely. The texture I have chosen is one that I have cut myself from thick paper and applied to my metal by roller printing it. The polka dot design creates a subtle background texture for my keum-bo design. This patterned texture is one that is uniquely mine and will not be seen on anyone else’s designs. To further play up the dotted starry night design, I have removed the oxidation from some of the dots. The end result is gorgeous with silver and 24k gold dots playing against a beautifully softly oxidized and brushed, textured background. The contemporary designs of this collection compliment this ancient technique beautifully for one-of-a-kind pieces that you can be assured will be uniquely yours! Each piece is one-of-a-kind. If you would like a piece custom made please be sure to ask. This cuff is very comfortable to wear with its slightly tapered back edges and concave design which contours to your wrist nicely. Several natural folds from when I formed the cuff add interest and remind me of the soft folds of a piece of draped fabric. The cuff as shown measures approximately 6 1/2” to include the opening on the interior, 6” from end to end without the opening. It is somewhat adjustable and can be squeezed gently to decrease the opening of it or pulled gently apart to increase it. I would be happy to adjust it to your size before shipping if you would like! As a guide, my own wrist measures 6 1/2” and it fits me perfectly. The inside of the cuff in silver is finished in the same gorgeous brushed texture as the front and coordinates in color with the silver dots. It is signed by the artist...that would be me!
