Celebration of Life is a piece I painted to celebrate my older sister, Dori, who transitioned in 2017. This Young Lady; Yaa, a family member who was at her celebration of life service contemplates and reflects on my sister's journey to the other side. In traditional solidarity, all family members wore attire made of the fabric Yaa is wearing at Doris celebration of life ceremony as we wished her well on her journey.
