This is a beautifully textured and layered acrylic painting on gallery canvas. Soothing teal, sand , white and black in a subtle stripe pattern. This piece is reminiscent of an ocean horizon. The sides are painted black, making framing optional. Created using high quality acrylic paint and coated in two layers of satin varnish to protect and enhance the surface. Dimensions are 12” x 12” x 1.5”. Wired and ready to hang.

Art Girl Studio by Armelle Leblanc
I'm a self-taught artist working in acrylic and ink. For me, painting is a necessity -just like breathing . It calms my mind and allows me to express my emotions in a non-verbal way.
My pieces are mainly abstract and I love to work with texture and layers. My paintings often begin with a layer of texture, and then I build more layers with colour and expressive mark making. I want there to be an interplay between what is visible on the surface of my paintings and the layers underneath.
I have a deep connection to water and the beach - perhaps because I'm an Aquarius. I also have many fond memories of visiting my brother in San Diego, where beach visits are a must. I am drawn to blues,teals , turquoise and neutrals - the colors of the ocean, sand and weathered wood, which is evident in my work.
I want to catch the viewers eye with these beautiful oceany colors, and then as they move closer, they will see all the textures and layers.
