Each spring for several years now, I participate in the Jerry Brown Arts Festival in Hamilton, AL. Jerry Brown was a famous potter/folk artist who made ugly face pottery. He had a mule that helped him during the firing process. That mule was named Blue. I decided to paint Blue, who is blue, because he’s wearing a blue face mask.
