The attraction of the hummingbird to the brilliance of the “Mexican Bird of Paradise” flower captures a fleeting moment of the beauty of nature. With layers and layers of watercolor, the work took Morgan six weeks to complete, one of the most time intensive watercolors she has ever created.
The watercolor on paper measures 28” x 21” (37” x 30” framed) and has won numerous awards, and was selected to represent the Coachella Valley at the State Capital in Sacramento.
Diane has lived in the Coachella Valley for 20 years and was a founding director of the Coachella Valley Art Alliance and former chair of the Palm Desert Civic Arts Committee.
