Giclée in a White Washed Wooden Frame.
Beachtown was inspired by my many bike rides on the beach through a place in Galveston, Texas called..you guessed it; Beachtown! The little brighly colored beach cottages were all lined up along the shoreline, standing at attention to the sea before them. The shoreline itself is made up of small pieces of lace and pearls. I added the sunset to the piece because I thought it offered some serenity to the little village by the sea. The fish below the surface and the seagulls are nods to the small things that make coastal living so cheerful!

I create backgrounds with small pieces of ripped or hand cut papers and sometimes acrylic paint. I then collage additional layers of patterned and metallic papers and text to build the subject matter.
