Original oil on canvas framed in "floating" whitewashed wooden frame to expose gallery wrap. Canvas size is 30"H x 30"W. My frames add 3" to the height/width dimensions of the canvas size. Framed dimensions are 33" H x 33" W. Dimensions noted below are for the shipping crate if shipping via FedEx. Many of the juried fine art festivals I've done are in unique coastal cities that I may have never visited if not for the art festival. Fairhope, AL is one of those places. A picturesque gem of Southern gentility, Fairhope has a wonderful municipal park on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay where they have numerous martin houses set in the water to protect the nesting birds from predators.

I paint in studio with oils on canvas from photographs I take as I travel the coastal South. I have such wonderful memories of growing up at the beach on the Bolivar Peninsula that I am particularly drawn to paint coastal birds, boats and landscapes near the shore. I was born and raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from our hometown university, Lamar University. After a career in advertising, I returned to my first love - painting.

I am a studio artist who paints with oils. I still build and stretch my own canvases. I accept commissions and also offer giclée reproductions of my original paintings on canvas and archival watercolor paper.
