I love horseshoe crabs! I grew up on the east coast, where they abounded on the beaches near us. They are a living fossil, having been in existence for millions of years, but their numbers are decreasing thanks to human interference. This print celebrates their hardiness and hopes for their continued success.

Printmaking is my passion.
I love the challenge of creating an image using linoleum blocks: how to convey shape, volume, texture, and movement using only the binary of black and white.
I also love the physical process of making prints. Carving a block reminds me of the rhythm of walking, and creates a meditative mood. Printing a block by hand includes the excitement of the first reveal -- even if I've been carving a block for weeks, the final print is still a surprise.
I hope you will find my artwork to be challenging, surprising, thought-provoking, and fun.
Thank you for visiting!
