Along the pond's edge, cattails make a perfect perch for the red-winged blackbirds. Inspired by visits to the wetland ponds at the North Chagrin Reservation in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, a wonderful bird habitat that is part of the Cleveland Metropark system.
This acrylic painting is done on a 12" x 12" x .75" gesso board panel. The panel has natural birch wood sides, and the whole piece has been varnish. Signed by artist, and includes a sawtooth hanger.
