Handbuilt slab and coil construction; Decoration in construction process: carved, impressed and hand appliqué elements; Decoration in glazing process after the first (bisque) firing: hand painted underglazes, glaze trailing and a final dip of a overall glaze. Cone 6 mid-fire clay fired in oxidation to 2200ºF.
This piece is food-safe, dishwasher safe and microwavable. One of a kind, unique design reflecting the artist's observation of nature and years of scuba diving, plant life, textures and terrain.
