n<strong>About Gaudy Welsh</strong>
n
nThe bold, colorful, hand painted patterns of Gaudy Welsh china were primarily produced between 1820 and 1860. In Wales the style was more commonly called “Swansea Cottage” and the name “Gaudy Welsh” was adopted by North Americans who were identifying it with immigrant families who owned the patterns which were commonly named after Welsh villages.
