Angel Tree Topper

Handmade Angel Tree Topper is 5 1/4" across and made from traditional materials; *PAPER SCRAP: Angel image is printed in Germany on vintage machines. Reminiscent of scraps from the early 1900's. *EMBOSSED FOIL MEDALLIONS: The Star backing for this topper in made from HEAVY PAPER. The gold filigree and the silver starburst are also foil paper. They are handmade in Germany on 150-year-old machines. While visiting there, I watched these beautiful foil papers being made by a third-generation producer. The Victorians used these same foil medallions in making their ornaments! *ALUMINUM LIGHT REFLECTOR; This gold reflector is vintage from the 1960's and it was placed behind the lights to add more "sparkle." It may have a few bent tips from being used and stored away for so many years! *SPUN GLASS CIRCLE: This is made with super thin pieces of glass! They are super shiny and actually flexible because they are so thin. In the Mid Century, it was called Angel Hair and people put “clouds” of it on mantles. There are very few people still handcrafting these. I was very lucky to have met an 85-year-old woman in Germany who agreed to make them for me. So easy to use, just tie the ribbon to the top spire of the tree! This ornament will make a beautiful addition to your Christmas tree and become part of your family’s special Holiday Tradition.
