It is an unframed watercolor painting that depicts Helen of Troy. While some myths say she was abducted by Paris and taken to Troy, others say she willingly went with him out of love. Feral Hearts Tarot is a collection of art rooted deeply in Greek mythology. Mythology was once described to me as a method of coping with our own humanity. We needed a bit of "taming" and lessons taught and learned through myths like those the Greeks created provided that, and perhaps unintentionally, epic mysticism and wonder that would stand the test of time. I hope the work I create for this deck embraces the raw, unfiltered nature of our hearts as I seek to celebrate the stories I've loved since I was a little girl.
