4 ounces of Tan Alpaca Ready-to-Use Alpaca Roving from the Blanket. As you can see from the Alpaca pictures,the tan fiber is a blend of dark brown, tan and white to make up a really nice light tan. Professionally washed and carded by Alford Family Farms and Spinnery, with great care taken to ensure a wonderful end product. The fiber is pre-washed followed by hand picking vegetable matter, opening, two washes and two rinses. The washing process allows for a gentle moving of water through the fiber to avoid agitation. Temperature controls prevent shock to the fleece as it soaks. No harsh chemicals are used in the cleaning of the fleece. A Stonehenge picker and carder process the washed fleece. This GORGEOUS roving is from an alpaca at Alford Family Farms and Spinnery named Joy. The roving is perfect for spinning and knitting into warm garments! The carded fiber is super easy to spin on a spinning wheel or drop spindle.
