Aloe ‘Blue Elf’

Aloe 'Blue Elf' is a compact succulent with a solid rosette and a growth height of 18 inches and a spread of 2 feet. Its long, silvery-blue-gray leaves are upright and adorned with small, reddish-brown teeth along the edges. During late winter and early spring, the plant bursts with eye-catching spikes of orangey-red blooms. This aloe has a lengthy blooming period and attracts hummingbirds with its vibrant colors. It also produces numerous offsets, making it perfect for propagation. Originally a hybrid, this plant is believed to have a natural form found in the Canary and Cape Verde Islands of North Africa. Care must be taken when handling Aloe ‘Blue Elf’, as the plant has spines. It is recommended to wear gloves when handling.
