Ingredients:
¾ cup butter
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
½ tea salt
1 tea vanilla extract
1 ½ tea almond extract
1 ½ cup flour
Topping:
Dusting of sugar
¾ cup sliced or chopped almonds
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in a medium size mixing bowl. Stir in sugar, don’t use a beater. Add the eggs and stir until creamy. Add the rest of the ingredients. Grease a 9 inch cake pan. Spread batter in pan. Sprinkle almonds and a dusting of sugar on top of batter. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
