10" Diameter solid maple wood sphere, painted with acrylic paints spackling compounds and finished with several coats of lacquer. Color, shape and texture pervade much of the sphere where natural elements such as sky, space and stratosphere dominate the top portion. Directly opposite the sky, is the water element. The use of texture implies a cavernous ocean floor.

I attended Parsons School of Design and received my degree in Fine Arts in 1958.
In the late 70's I developed my present form of painting on maple wood and created a line of wearable art, Wood Images.
In 1975 I developed the form of painting on maple wood spheres. I found that working in the round presented new compositional challenges not found in the two dimensional art form. The spheres range in size from 4” diameter to 24” diameter.
