Trent Altman, from Louisville, KY, is an expressionistic, abstract artist creating paintings with brilliant color and texture since 2003. “Altman’s paintings exude a positive energy and boundary breaking openness that lift each image beyond the standard landscape painting, demonstrating a clear talent and skill that he has achieved in the face of autism. In his paintings, color and texture combine in an intriguing partnership that captures the tones and surfaces of outdoors and transmitting a personal emotion.” Agora Gallery, NYC. Altman has received 17 visual artist awards, highlighting The United Nations Autism Awareness Stamp, 2012, The International Naturally People’s Award, 2013, and a documentary “An Art for Expression” made about Altman’s art- making which was nominated to the national Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for an Emmy Award in 2014. Altman is a member and artist of the Kentucky Arts Council. Altman has had 5 NYC art shows and shows across the eastern part of the United States. He has had gallery representation by Sweet Art Gallery in Naples, Florida since 2013.
