A lavish Edwardian inspired bead embroidered necklace with it's focal piece being a cabochon featuring the portrait of a lovely lady from that era. The necklace also features an unusual asymmetrical design.
The cabochon has been set with a peyote bead woven bezel of Japanese seed beads and then surrounded with aurora borealis rhinestones and Mother of Pearl beads. Further accenting the cabochon are iridescent glass leaves, vintage glass button, copper colored Freshwater Pearls, Swarovski crystals and copper metal leaves.
From each side of the pendant there are dangles made of more MOP beads, Swarovski crystals and copper metal leaf charms. The pendant is strung with copper metal connectors that are repurposed from a vintage necklace. These are attached to a copper metal chain. The back of the pendant is finished with a soft metallic copper leather.
The length of chain and connectors is approximately 14" however, the pendant adds another 4" in length. The length can be adjusted on this piece.

Dayna Miles began designing and creating beaded jewelry over 15 years ago and is completely self-taught. Since childhood, she has enjoyed the needle arts and has always had a love for creating jewelry. About 12 years ago, she discovered bead embroidery and weaving and it has become her passion…expressing both the love of beaded jewelry and the needle and thread.
When Dayna begins one of her designs, she chooses a focal piece and then begins pulling beads from her inventory that would possibly work in the design just as a painter decides his paint colors. This is why bead embroidery is sometimes referred to as “painting with beads.” She then lets the beads and components guide her as the piece develops into a finished work of bead art.
