Description
This is a one of a kind, ceramic cake stand handmade by Audry Deal-McEver in Nashville, TN (USA).
The piece was created on the potter's wheel. Next, ornate botanical designs were carved into the surface, which were inspired by historic textile patterns from India. It was finished with "cone-6" glazes and fired to 2230 degrees in an electric kiln.
All of Audry's pottery is made with food-safe materials and is designed to be fully functional: Dishwasher and microwave safe!

Audry Deal-McEver Pottery
Audry Deal-McEver is a Nashville, TN based artist who works primarily with clay. In addition to earning a degree in Ceramic Studio Arts from Ohio University, Audry's education also includes studies at Burg Giebichenstein School of Art and Design (in Halle, Germany), and short-term residencies at Arrowmont School of Arts and Craft, Red Lodge Clay Center, Hot Springs National Park, and the University of Alaska. Over the past 6 years she has had work in over 40 solo and group exhibits across the US including venues as diverse as the American Museum of Ceramic Art, the Reece Museum of Fine Art, the Disjecta Contemporary Arts Center, the Nashville International Airport, and various nature centers/botanical conservatories. Audry currently teaches at Belmont University's Watkins Art Program, at workshop centers across the country, and privately out of her home studio.
