Painted shortly before the results of the US election as Kamala continued to campaign and work to inspire people everywhere. The first BIPOC woman to become the vice President is a true step in a better direction. Has everything since the election been perfect? No, but representation matters so much.
I will be donating 100% of the proceeds to a not-for-profit focused on supporting BIPOC Communities. The seller makes the choice and as long as it is a reputable organization, I will donate the full amount and post proof on my Instagram.
Note that this painting is more smooth, and it was not painted in thick impasto style.

I am an abstract impressionistic painter, living in Toronto with my husband and our mini goldendoodle, Josie.
Originally born in Alberta, I find strength and stillness in forests, fields, and by water.
Painting is a restorative process for me, it gives me time to focus on how beautiful and magical our world can be.
My works include both landscapes and portraits, although the portraits often include elements of nature such as branches or mountains.
My overarching goal would be that my collectors feel the same sense of magic and connection I feel to the world through painting.
