This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork created with oil paints on 1.5" thick canvas. The painting is varnished with a Damar varnish to protect it from dirt and light. She paints the edges of the canvas in black so it may be displayed without a frame. The painting is wired and ready to hang.
Like most of her work, this piece is inspired by the organic forms and textures of nature. In creating it, she continues to explore a personal technique that is analogous to the fluid geological processes that shape our environment. The painting evolves in layers, manifesting a kind of dialogue between her emotions and the chemical reactions of the materials.

I am a French-born American artist. I earned my MFA in Paris, and also studied at Cooper Union in New York City. My paintings are displayed in private and public collections in the United States, throughout Europe, and in Japan. I regularly exhibit at Marcia Evans Gallery in Columbus, OH and at Christine Frechard Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA.
My inspiration is nature, especially the processes of sedimentation and erosion that shape landscape. The paintings form as I guide layers of oil over thick brushstrokes in multiple stages of pouring and drying.
