When I was in high school, I was introduced to the world of glassblowing and was instantly hooked. The way the glass moved, how hot it was and how the furnace glowed. I was lucky enough to have a studio so close to home.
The name JeezLouiseGlass came from my middle name, being Louise and how my grandma used to say "Jeez Louise, baby!" when I would tell her something silly that happened that day. I create using a method called "Flame-working". A process involving a torch, oxygen and propane. The oxygen and propane produce a powerful, hot flame ranging from 3000-5000 degrees Fahrenheit.
This allows me to melt rods of borosilicate glass, into pendants, earrings, little creatures and pipes.
