A true passion for clay constantly leads me down new roads. Hand thrown art forms are just the beginning. By altering then joining multiple pieces, I create my utilitarian clay vessels. I truly love my job and look forward to waking up each day. Although there is a certain beauty to my ceramics that some may only want to display, all my art forms are durable for daily use. For 40 years, I have been creating my own clay and glaze formulas to ensure beauty and durability. Chemistry plays a big role in the mixing of my glazes, I experiment with new colors often and I have perfected my signature colors. Education: BFA in Studio Art Ceramics from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1981.
