Founded as a not-for-profit in 1975, The Arts Council for Wyoming County(ACWC) provides arts and culture programs to our rural communities in the region. Headquartered in a restored historic building in downtown Perry, New York, the ACWC presents art exhibits, classes, workshops, classic film screenings, and other events throughout the year.
Working in conjunction with the New York State Council on the Arts, the ACWC acts as a conduit to distribute (SCR) State Community Regrants to groups and organizations throughout Wyoming and Allegany Counties. Community Arts Grantees, in turn, provide arts and culture opportunities for their neighbors, including concerts, performing arts, visual arts, and other arts opportunities.
The Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale is the premier annual event presented by the ACWC. This fundraiser has been presented for 47 years at the peak of the autumn foliage during Indigenous Peoples' Day Weekend. Thousands of visitors have flocked to the event to shop for arts & crafts from over 200 artisans while enjoying a festive family atmosphere, including activities, food, and entertainment.
