I was stressing, so I began making pottery. I create tactile, functional pottery. My primary technique is wet kurinuki: carving, hollowing and texturing solid pieces of wet clay. All pieces are glazed to complement the textures and fired in an electric kiln. Each piece is unique and reflects my experiential learning in place of formal training.
