The Central Coast Film Society was formed with an idea of creating a place where local filmmakers had a place to grow as artists and to show movies we all love to the Central Coast community. In 2018, founder Daniel Lahr, began the official procedures in creating the Central Coast Film Society as a nonprofit organization. The Central Coast Film Society incorporated on March 20, 2018, and was later granted official 501(c)(3) charitable organization status by the IRS on March 7, 2019 and is retroactive to the date of the official incorporation date. Part of the responsibilities of being a 501(c)(3) organization, we want to make sure our we are as transparent as possible. We have worked with GuideStar to help provide all of our pertinent information to the public.
