Hailing from Lumberton, North Carolina, Jef performs mime, variety arts and mask theater for children and families throughout the Southeast. Jef has shared his work at such places as Merlefest in Wilkesboro, NC; The Ocrafolk Festival on Ocracoke Island; the NC Pickle Festival in Mount Olive, NC; and the Very Special Arts Festival in Pembroke, NC. During his career he’s also been the opening act for such performers as the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Doc Watson, Mike Cross, the Heath Brothers, Chuck Davis’ African American Dance Ensemble, Molasses Creek, Kaira Ba, and the Paperhand Puppet Intervention.
