Pineapple Baby (Angel), a singer-pianist, musician, choreographer, Berklee College of Music alumna. She sings in multiple languages (Hawaiian, African languages: Swahili, Zulu and Xhosa, and Chinese Mandarin), plays multiple instruments: piano, Celtic harp, traditional Chinese flute Hulusi and percussions. She grew up in a classical music family, both parents are music educators. She started learning classical vocal and piano since she was 6 years old. She was exposed to western popular music when she was 11 years old. Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, and Charice Pempengco (now known as Jake Zyrus) have been her big influence in her singing career.
In 2015, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, USA. During her study at Berklee College of Music, she fell in love with gospel music, Latin American music and African music. Her singing was influenced by African American Gospel singers CeCe Winans and Kierra Sheard. She also started to explore African and Latin percussions and dancing. She started to take african music and dance workshops with well-known teachers within the US. Afrodance teachers: Izzy Odigie, SayrahChips, Ornella Nella, YourFavAfrican and Manuel Kanza.
