The Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts, Inc. has been providing music studio instruction for 25 years. We began with private voice and piano instruction and have offered guitar & violin instruction over the years as well. We have a fully licensed Kindermusik Educator that has been recognized through the years as a Maestro Level instructor. Our Kindermusik group classes are music & movement classes for Newborns - Age 7 and focuses on the whole child and music, movement & brain development. We are also involved in taking music & movement into local schools through our Kindermusik at School program. In 2017 we started the Lawrenceburg Children's Choir comprised of students in Grades 1-12 and soon followed with the Lawrenceburg Children's Theater which produces one Children's theater production per year. We offer a variety of music & theater camps for students and before COVID-19 had enrolled for our first Community Adult Choir, which we hope to one day resume. Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts, Inc. is in their second year bringing the Boots & Bourbon Nashville Songwriter Festival to Lawrenceburg at the Barn at McCall Springs. This is a writer round of Nashville's top hitmaker Songwriters. We have had the honor of hosting Lee Thomas Miller, Wendell Mobley, Paul Overstreet & Jeffrey Steele, whose hits have included songs recorded by Rascal Flatts, Randy Travis, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton & Montgomery Gentry to name a few. This songwriter festival is in the fall each year.
