I've been creating art for more than 50 years, primarily abstract and landscape oil paintings on canvas. While in my twenties, I was very fortunate to be accepted to study under the master Russian Impressionist, Sergei Bongart. I have an intense love of the outdoors and nature, and express that in a soft romantic style. “The goal of my art, is to have the viewer become a participant, rather than just an observer.” The compositions are impressionistic enough to allow you, the viewer to participate. Identify for yourself the locations of the landscapes, or imagine what you see in an abstract. Colors are soft, but exaggerated to alert viewers to the reality of colors found in nature. Painting the balance and harmony of natural color stimulates the viewer's eye to see the subtleties which exist in nature.
